Getting to Antigua and Barbuda shouldn’t be a stressful ordeal. Following an international flight to V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU), passengers are often required to travel to a resort, villa or guesthouse or some other part of the island, and a reliable means of getting there is essential. A private airport taxi is an easy option as you can book a taxi to your airport before you even leave home.
If you are staying around St. John’s, English Harbour, Jolly Harbour, Falmouth or the eastern communities on the island, it is important that you know how an Antigua airport taxi pickup works if your visit is to be as easy and painless as possible.
To avoid delays, please book your private airport transfer well in advance.
The process starts prior to your flight. For an airport taxi booking, give details for your arrival date, flight number, number of passengers, luggage and accommodation information. This information enables the transportation company to plan the collection and determine the correct vehicle.
Pete’s Taxi & Car Rentals can pick you up from the airport in Antigua and offer taxi rental services that can be booked online or via the phone. They are open 24 hours a day and have been servicing the island’s visitors for over 20 years.

Your Driver Tracks the Scheduled Arrival
Flight information plays an important role in the airport transfers as the actual arrival times can vary from the scheduled ones. If you do give your flight number, then the taxi operator will have some helpful information when they try to organize the pickup in time for your arrival.
Pete’s also provides a private pick-up service, not depending on the airport taxi system.
Go to Meet Your Driver After Arrivals
Once in the airport at V.C. Bird International Airport, passengers must go through the necessary procedures and pick up their bags. Then your driver meets you as agreed upon for pick-up.
When travelling with kids, heavy suitcases or following a long international flight, a well-defined meeting location is helpful. You don’t need to arrange for transport when you get off the terminal—it is already done for you.
Travel directly to your Antigua destination
After you’ve contacted your driver, your bags can be placed in a vehicle that has been thoroughly cleaned and maintained before you hit the road. Your transfer could be heading toward a popular destination like St. John’s, Dickenson Bay, English Harbour or Freetown Village, depending on your location.
Pete’s Taxi & Car Rentals is based in Freetown Village, St. Philip’s and offer airport transfers across Antigua. The company also has a variety of cars that are appropriate for carrying passengers and luggage.
Pre-Booked Airport Transportation Makes Sense

A private transfer eliminates one of the logistical elements of your arrival and provides you with a prearranged ride.
Pete’s also has Antigua car rentals available on the island, such as cars, SUVs and minivans, which can be picked up and dropped off all over the island.
